-Back From the Beach!-
Ahhhh…five days at the beach…after having the flu…amazing weekend…beautiful wedding…good times! 🙂
Back at work!
I’m happy to say that last night was the first workout for the first group of Baton Rouge Bootcamp! We had a great workout!
Here’s what we did:
10 minute dynamic warm-up (jogging alternated with various drills such as high knee walks, butt kicks, inchworms)
Partner Relay: paired everyone up into teams of two, and had mats set up at 20 yards out and 40 yards out. First group sprinted to the 20 yards mats and did 20 mountain climbers, then sprinted back. Other group did the same, then first group sprinted out to 40 yard mats and did 20 more mountain climbers, then sprinted back. Other group did the same. We did three rounds of this, with a water break in between.
Kept partnered teams, and we went through three rounds of a 30 second work/30 second rest circuit, consisting of elevated pushups, reverse prisoner lunges, bicycle crunches, and burpees.
Cool-down time was well appreciated! 🙂 Everyone worked hard and seemed to have fun! I’m excited about bootcamp!
