As crazy as it seems, Baton Rouge got snow. In the wee hours of the morning we were bombarded by huge flakes. I woke up around 7:00 to find things covered in a blanket of white. The stuff was just raining down…and it was REAL snow…not powder! I turned on the news because I had three clients scheduled for the morning, and quickly realized I wasn’t going anywhere. Traffic was becoming horrendous and they eventually closed the Mississippi River bridge. I had to cancel my clients. 😦
The problem with being self-employed is if you don’t work, you don’t get paid. Yeah, it kinda stinks, but you can’t help the weather.
So, what can ya do? If you’re me, you don’t get bummed about it…you go play with friends in the snow and attempt to build a snowman…which is kinda gross when the stuff is starting to melt and there are leaves all over the place…
Now i’m back home and am doing some work-related stuff on my laptop, and am going to get a great workout here in a little bit. I am not one to sit around and waste a day. Yeah, it’s good to let loose and relax, but I know when I need to get stuff done…I have a long list of things I need to tackle…including transferring my daily mileage logs from this year to a spreadsheet…yeah, I know, THRILLING! lol
